LHC made me a better man! I learned more about myself in 42 days than any other time in my 36 years of life. Come with open eyes, open ears, and an open mind. Art therapy, group processing, therapeutic massage, Reiki, and EMDR taught me powerful tools to work on trauma and subsequent years of poor behavior. LHC is not a fancy rehab. It has a rustic charm that allows everyone to feel comfortable and leave behind their hectic lives. It worked for me!

This facility saved my life. I don’t live in New Mexico but just because of the experience I had there, when I flew home I felt like I left my heart there. I love that place, counselor/groups amazing, it’s dual diagnosis so you can go to outside 12 step meetings as well as any type of religious services if you so choose. I worked with a medicine woman there named Mari Red Moon and she saved my life, as well as the community experience I had there. Their maximum patient count is 35 and I don’t think we ever got above 27. We were all incredibly close, no drama, and it’s been a year and a half since I’ve been out and I still talk to my friends I was in there with regularly. The only thing I would ask staff is to have more than one group a day, or have one group on weekends. A little too much down time. Other than that I love it.

I was discharged a bit overly viciously by Sarah but it was my own fault so that’s somewhat understandable to me. Over all it was a pretty good experience. The campus is beautiful and they teach you to appreciate the smaller things and your positive qualities. Lots of classes, not too many adjunctive classes but you can manage to gain from those smaller amounts too. The system is a bit sloppy so for more organized people it may clash with their lifestyle a bit but I think it is worth the instructors and teachings you gain there. Liz was great, Heather, Pasha, the nurse practitioner Sharri was absolutely great, the doctor, Roberta the nurse and although Jenny can be a tough soul she has provided good service to me as well. Yes, would and have already recommended to many trying to heal. Was here for about two months. Chef Ken was also really accommodating and gentle. And Raul and James at the front were so great. Over all pretty good experience and am very thankful for everyone there including clients.

*Please read my entire review. It contains CRITICAL information for you if you're considering seeking treatment at LHC.* My reason for giving LHC a good rating is this: it completely changed my life. The therapy programs are outstanding. For the first time in over 25 years I feel like I can finally live a life free from opiate pain medications. I had an opportunity to engage in equine and acupuncture therapy. My core group leader Lily was kind, knowledgeable, and compassionate. Even the kitchen staff reached out to me. And nearly every other person in treatment with me took an active role in my treatment process. 2 months ago I didn't care if I lived or died. After life at LHC I look forward to each new day, knowing that even when times are hard I have new tools to cope with my physical pain and early childhood trauma. I just can't say enough good things about the therapists on staff there. The downside is this: the admissions staff will lie to get you to agree to seek treatment there. This is because they are paid a commission for every admission. They told me they were familiar with "SMART" Recovery, but after I got there and asked my core group leader about it, she had never heard of it. Many other clients there told me they had similar experiences as they spoke to admissions staff regarding what LHC has to offer. I bore witness to at least 6 patients who ended up being kicked out of treatment because they only found out after being admitted that their insurance wouldnt cover their stay. One client had to leave, take out a loan, and then return after this happened to her. The admissions staff do not obtain prior authorization because they get the commission regardless. And the information on their website is misleading and out of date. Additionally, they recently opened a detox unit but did not increase staff numbers to accommodate this drastic change. Overall it's an outstanding facility with compassionate, skilled and knowledgeable staff. However, if you anticipate insurance coverage for assistance with payment, I STRONGLY suggest you contact your provider for prior authorization well in advance of being admitted.

I loved the Life Healing Center. ALL of the staff is amazing and caring, from the kitchen staff, to the drivers, to the clinical techs, to the admissions staff. And the therapists, nurses, and doctors are great! This place felt like home to me. I felt very safe and comfortable there. I really enjoyed the outings, i got to see some beautiful places in New Mexico that i would never have the opportunity to visit otherwise. I have been to another residential treatment center before and i preferred Life Healing Center over the previous one. There was something very special about the place. I made lifelong friends and even though i was there at a very rough time in my life, my experience was great.

My experience with this facility was beyond incredible. It is a healing environment with world class therapists and providers who care significantly about their residents. it is a smaller scaled facility so that the best patient care is possible to focus on each individual and meet their clincial needs. I love The Life Healing Center. They do an excellent job with integrative treatment modalities. Each alumnus I know had a 5 star experience. I recommend this facility to anyone seeking treatment for several types of issues, including trauma.
